Mar8

Spring will start Saturday, March 20 at midnight in the Northern Hemisphere (Vernal Equinox).

On that day the Southern Hemisphere observes the Autumnal Equinox, which is the equivalent of the start of Autumn.

Spring does not have an exact starting date. Astronomers use March 20 as the beginning date of spring because it is the date of the vernal equinox. On this day, there are 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness (equinox-equal).
